Applications
Convo Access in the wild: digital, print, co-existence and clear-zone rules.
Convo Access
Convo Access is how our brand shows up at the exact moment someone needs an interpreter—instantly, without setup or delay. It’s the simplest invitation to connect, powered by a scan. From transit stations to store counters, from a tablet screen to a printed card, it’s our promise of direct access, made visible and usable.
The Convo Access asset pairs a “Need an interpreter?” / “Scan for [ASL / BSL / Auslan] Interpreter” prompt with a branded QR code and a “Made possible by Convo” endorsement.
Digital
Convo Access digital formats are designed to be responsive and flexible—adapting seamlessly to various screen sizes and digital environments. Whether shown on kiosks, mobile websites, digital signage, or embedded in apps, these assets maintain brand clarity and instant usability across all surfaces.
The design scales, the intent stays the same: effortless access, exactly when needed.
Print is where precision matters most. Convo Access print assets are intentionally fixed in format to ensure high visibility, reliable scanning, and instant recognition across public environments.
Every detail—size, spacing, and contrast—has been tested for scale, proliferation, and real-world durability. Whether used in transport hubs or at service counters, these designs create trust through consistency.
Co-existence
Convo Access is a stand-alone signal. It is never co-branded, edited, or integrated with partner logos. However, we welcome our partners to platform it within their own branded environments—digitally or physically—with care. In the following pages you’ll learn and see our definition of co-existence and how it applies to our partnership.
Clear zone
To protect legibility and scanning performance, Convo Access assets must always maintain a minimum clear zone around all edges. This ensures the QR code is never obscured and the visual identity stays intact.
- The clear zone must equal at least .25 the size of the QR code itself.
- No partner logos, text, icons, or design elements should enter this space.
- The clear zone applies whether the asset is placed on a poster, screen, label, or any branded container.
This space is not optional, it guarantees usability and consistency at scale.
Visibility
Convo Access must always stand out, even when embedded within partner environments. Partners are encouraged to wrap the asset in their brand world—but never at the cost of legibility.
When in doubt: if it doesn’t pop clearly from one meter or three feet away, it’s not visible enough.
- Do not place the asset against solid, similarly coloured backgrounds.
- Avoid placing the asset over noisy and busy backgrounds or surfaces.
- Ensure the asset is not surrounded by visual clutter or distractions (e.g. dense text, QR code clusters affecting scanning).
Integrity
Our assets must remain untouched in their core design. This preserves the trust, recognisability, and function of Convo Access globally.
If the asset needs to be resized, please consult with the Convo brand team to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Do not crop or mask the asset.
- Do not recolour or invert the asset.
- Do not add partner logos, labels, or symbols inside the asset.
- Do not resize in a way that distorts proportions or compresses the asset.
Co-existence example with Lincoln Center
Here’s an example of how our standard Convo Access sticker (2×3” or 50×75mm) can be wrapped within a partner’s brand. In this case, we’re showcasing Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City campaign and how they’ve integrated their branding around Convo Access—while maintaining all core guidelines.
The example places the unmodified Convo Access sticker (“Scan for ASL Interpreter”) within Lincoln Center’s illustrated bird pattern and alongside the “Summer for the City” campaign lockup, demonstrating co-existence without altering the core asset.
